Thanks to the new regional administration, Villa Contarini in Piazzola sul Brenta will host several medical conferences. Last week end ( 5 and 6 April ) the National Congress of the Italian Society of Paediatric Dentistry ( SIOI )took place in Villa Contarini, the Congress was entitled '' Insights into Paediatric Dentistry '', it inaugurated the Presidency of Mr. Roberto Ferro, Manager of the operating autonomous unit of odontosmatology of the ULSS 15 '' Alta Padovana'' and of the specialized centre for the study, prevention and therapy of oro-dental diseases of the Veneto Region.
The meeting gathered approximately 500 qualified experts from all over Italy, who are part of the academic world and the world of private practice.
During the first day some basic topics on paediatric dentistry were discussed, such as dental traumatism , lesions of the oral mucosa, local anesthesia, ozone therapy and the new approach towards cavity lesions.
During the second day 5 monothematic courses for an update on practical aspects of the most recent international protocols on cavities and malocclusion therapy took place.
