An exhibit project dedicated to the Veneto, in a time span going from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s. It is an occasion of great interest, with pictures taken mainly from the Alinari Collections, integrated with a thorough research done at important public and private institutions on the territory.
An opportunity to show to the public the work of great photographers who portrayed, as their favorite subject, the region, and at the same time cover an ideal itinerary among the provinces of the Veneto, illustrated with extraordinary images.
Unpublished and charming images have been chosen for this selection of photographs, as well as an iconography of smaller towns, often neglected in exhibitions due to the lack of archive footage, in particular with regard to the historical period taken into account.
The pictures, approximately 200, will be shown in the original, giving the utmost importance to the image. The variety of the visual aids will also be given relevance: daguerreotypes, collotypes, photo albums, ambrotypes, cartes-de-visite, cameras, etc.

THEMATIC AREAS: the Veneto, its 7 provinces, the islands.
CATALOGUE: Published by Alinari 24ORE, cm 24x29, 192/208 pages, text by Italo Zannier and Angelo Maggi. Italian/English edition.

It will also be possible to visit just the exhibition and the park, with a reduced price ticket according to admission criteria, of 3,50 Euros.

The exhibition, inaugurated on April 16th, will be open to the public from April 17th to November 7th daily, except for Wednesdays, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
